Leonard Reid Historic Interior Renovation

The Leonard Reid Historic Interior Renovation involved the restoration and renovation of a 1,400 SF historic residence into a museum for the Sarasota African American Cultural Coalition (SAACC).

Envision performed interior upgrades to include a new bathroom, renovated kitchen, and new gallery space, along with refreshes of paint, ACT, drywall, HVAC, and flooring. Additionally, selective demolition, repair of existing wood siding, paint, and new window film on the building’s exterior created a renewed exterior appearance. These renovations transformed the former home of Leonard Reid, one of Sarasota’s original pioneers, into a welcoming museum space for visitors while preserving the authenticity and heart of the original residence.
